Deep Fryers Reviewed! Presto CoolDaddy Cool-touch Deep Fryer!

Presto CoolDaddy Cool-touch Deep Fryer

Best small deep fryer

Pros
  • Cool-to-the-touch exterior
  • Basket lowers with lid closed
  • Makes two servings
  • Adjustable thermostat, temperature indicator
Cons
  • Not suitable for large quantities
  • Foods are oily

    Bottom line

If you're looking for a simple, low-mess and low-odor deep fryer that produces small servings, the Presto CoolDaddy Cool-touch Deep Fryer can't be beat. With adjustable temperature controls and a convenient temperature indicator light, there's no guesswork involved in knowing when the fryer's ready to cook. Safety features include an external handle for lowering the basket with the lid closed to eliminate splatters.

    Performance

Versatile settings. The Presto CoolDaddy Cool-touch Deep Fryer's adjustable temperature settings range from 250 to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Although the 1,600-watt appliance has a 6-cup capacity, most reviewers say it really only makes enough for two people. One Amazon.com owner says the CoolDaddy "heats up in a reasonable amount of time," it recovers fairly quickly to the ideal frying temperature after frozen foods are added and its exterior stays cool. However, a few users complain that it leaves foods oily and fails to reach the ideal temperature.

    Ease of use

Simple functionality, easy cleaning. The Presto CoolDaddy Cool-touch Deep Fryer is simple to operate thanks to an adjustable temperature control knob, convenient viewing window for monitoring foods as they cook, and a nonstick bowl that removes for easy cleaning. It's not dishwasher-safe, however. Users who post feedback at Amazon.com and Viewpoints.com praise the CoolDaddy's simple cleanup and easy operation, as well as its convenient indicator light that signals when the oil reaches the desired temperature. A few owners advise paying attention to the max fill line to avoid overflows.

    Features

Built-in safety features. The Presto CoolDaddy Cool-touch Deep Fryer has a lid to keep both grease and odors inside, as well as an exterior handle for lowering the basket with the lid closed to prevent messy splatters and burns. A charcoal air filter reduces the unpleasant grease smell created by many deep fryers. A simple knob controls the adjustable thermostat to set the temperature between 250 and 375 degrees Fahrenheit, and the fryer's nonstick pot slides out of the main housing for easy cleanup.

    Durability

Only a few concerns. Among hundreds of user reviews across Amazon.com, Viewpoints.com, Macys.com, Walmart.com and Kohls.com, only a few complain about durability issues with the Presto CoolDaddy Cool-touch Deep Fryer. The most common gripes are that the Presto CoolDaddy doesn't heat up to the ideal cooking temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit, and a few report problems with the basket-lowering mechanism. Some describe its construction as "flimsy." The fryer is backed by a one-year warranty. Will regularly using an wrinkle cream really work to tighten my skin and reduce my wrinkles?

Anti-aging and anti-wrinkle creams abound across drugstore and big box retail stores all across the country. But how do you know which ones are worth the money and which ones aren't? The first thing you have to consider is what you need to address. Anti aging and anti wrinkle creams are designed to slow the aging process as well as address the already visible signs of aging that include skin laxity or sagging, especially around the neck, jaw line, and eyes, wrinkles around the eyes, forehead, and neck, and UV skin damage, which includes reddening of the skin, brown spots (freckles and liver spots), yellowing of the skin from sun damage, and uneven texture. These products are able to accomplish this task by introducing the proper ingredients onto the skin and allow them to tighten, brighten and even out the skin.
In the United States, there is a great demand for these products as millions of women are looking for ways to stay young without going under the knife, however many products available today don't deliver the results they promise. While studies have shown that many of these products fail to deliver on the claims they make, more recent studies have shown that some ingredients commonly used in high end anti-wrinkle creams do have a beneficial effect and can provide the dramatic results that users are looking for. Also for Direct Access to Brand Name Products&Services Like This Visit our Website at  http://ebuys-onlineproducts-services.weebly.com

Plasma TVs Reviewed!

Panasonic Viera TC-P60ST60

Best value plasma TV

Pros
  • Outstanding picture quality
  • Tons of features
  • Incredible value
Cons
  • Picture quality falters in well-lit rooms
  • Input lag a concern for serious gamers

    Bottom line

The Panasonic TC-PST60 provides picture quality that challenges the very best of this year's plasma TVs, but costs lots less. The catch? It's not a great performer in well-lit spaces. Still, if you can watch TV with the lights turned down a bit, the TC-PST60 will make you and your wallet very happy. The TC-PST60 series includes the 50-inch Panasonic Viera TC-P50ST60 (Est. $1,500) , 55-inch Panasonic Viera TC-P55ST60 (Est. $1,500) , 60-inch Panasonic Viera TC-P60ST60 (Est. $1,500) and 65-inch Panasonic Viera TC-P65ST60 (Est. $1,500) .

    Performance

For the price, simply spectacular. The Panasonic TC-PST60 produces videophile-grade picture quality that's on a par with last year's top-of the-line plasma TVs, and that doesn't fall very far short of this year's spectacular performers, including the very expensive Panasonic TC-PZT60. Blacks are every bit as good, experts say. Color performance is also excellent, though reports indicate that if you push the panel's brightness too high, things can veer off to the red side. That, and reflection-fighting abilities that are only okay, means that you'll want to view the TC-P50ST60 in rooms with no more than moderate lighting. All the traditional benefits of plasma -- including wide viewing angles and great screen uniformity -- can be found in this set. The only notable concern is that the set exhibits significant input lag, making it a problematical choice for those who are serious fast-action gamers.

    Features

Very few cut corners. The Panasonic TC-PST60 has most of the goodies found in the company's more upscale TVs. Compared to the flagship Panasonic TC-PZT60, which costs twice as much, you lose only a touchpad remote and voice-recognition features. In addition, the smart features are powered by a somewhat weaker processor, which does make them a tad sluggish under some circumstances. However, this set includes the full Viera Connect smart TV platform, which is robust and well regarded even though it is outshone by the smart platforms offered by some other makers, such as Samsung. There is active shutter 3D as well, and two pairs of glasses are included, but reviews of 3D performance are mixed. Though an integrated camera (for Skype and more) is included in some Panasonic TVs (such as the step-up TC-PVT60), it's an extra-cost option here, as well as on the company's flagship plasma model.

    Design

Traditional, but attractive. Chrome edging adds a touch of class to what's otherwise a very traditional-looking plasma TV. The black base is non-swiveling. The remote is a standard clicker; it has a few shortcut keys related to its apps and streaming features, but is non-illuminated. Connectivity isn't especially abundant, but the three HDMI inputs should be enough for all but the most extensive home-theater setups. The SD card slot is a nice plus.

    Value

In a word, unbeatable. Critics love the picture quality of the TC-PST60 and appreciate its good feature lineup. However, when they get sight of the price tag, most are simply stunned. CNET's David Katzmaier is blown away to the point where he says that if value is any consideration at all, you should simply buy the TC-PST60 and be done with it. On the strength of its picture quality and selling price, it earns CNET's first 5-star rating for any TV set. Other critics might not be quite so over the top, but admiration for the TC-PST60's value given this set's level of performance is nearly universal. Better Skin Begins With Your Next Meal! Reviewed!

Consumers today are bombarded by a wide variety of anti-aging products for the body and face, whether they are simple cosmetics or surgical procedures. But the fountain of youth really just comes from better nutrition, one health expert says.

A survey by the American Academy of Dermatology found that 94 percent of women are confused by all the available anti-aging treatments (over-the counter and prescription) as well as the procedures available in a doctor's office.

Yet according to Cherie Calbom, author of "The Wrinkle Cleanse," you can look younger starting with your next meal. Her book outlines a four-step approach to getting softer, younger-looking skin, explaining that a diet rich in raw foods, vegetable juices, whole grains and lean protein can cleanse the body of toxins and protect it from the causes of wrinkles and other symptoms of aging.

The mention of vegetable juices might ring a bell: Calbom, who has a master's degree in nutrition, is better known as "The Juice Lady" for her work with juicing and health. She has appeared regularly on the QVC channel for the last eight years and is the author of several books, including "Juicing for Life."

Calbom stresses that several factors affect how our skin ages, including environmental toxins, sun exposure, free radical attacks on the cells, inflammation and a weakened immune system. Her approach to creating a better diet geared toward reduced wrinkling has four components:

* Step 1 involves quick cleanses with either an all-day vegetable juice fast or a two-day raw-food program, designed to help repair damaged cells.

* Step 2 introduces a low-carbohydrate diet for 14 days that has plenty of vegetables, sprouts, vegetable juices, low-sugar fruit, whole grains and lean proteins. One key aspect of this stage is lowering caloric intake overall.

* Step 3 is composed of cleaning programs for your intestinal tract, liver, gallbladder, kidneys and blood. Detoxification is key, according to Calbom, in the effort to fight wrinkles.

* Step 4 outlines the vitamins and minerals needed to fight the symptoms of aging and how they can be incorporated into your diet.

Calbom offers several nutritional guidelines and more than 75 easy-to-make recipes and menu plans. Her strategy emphasizes what she calls the "wrinkle fighters" - foods that are rich in nutrients to help strengthen collagen and elastin for better skin. Some examples include carrots, which add luster to the hair; artichokes for better energy; and almonds, a good source of vitamin B.

"The Wrinkle Cleanse" is published by Avery/Penguin Group USA. It's available in bookstores now. Also for Direct Access To Brand Name Products&Services Like This Visit our Website at  http://ebuys-onlineproducts-services.weebly.com

Career Apparel: Dress for Success!

Ever wondered why you didn't land your dream job? You rehearsed for your interview, researched the company, and appeared to be a qualified applicant at the interview. Perhaps, it was your career apparel choice that made that man behind the desk turn up his nose.

Even if it is just a restaurant or thrift store in which you are applying for, showing up in casual street clothes is always a no-no. Selecting the appropriate and classy career apparel could make or break your chances of getting the job.

The first thing you should do is analyze the atmosphere of the company that you're applying to. Is it a laid-back atmosphere? Are there a lot of cleaning duties or stocking tasks involved? Or, is it a high-class establishment where employees are consistently dressed in Sunday best career apparel? Do some investigating by popping in one day to observe what other employees are wearing. Talk to former employees about the expectations of the business's supervisor.

If you are applying for a position with a big-league business (such as a bank, high-class retail store, investment company, etc.), wear nothing short than high-class polished career apparel. Even if you are in your 20s, dressing as if you are 10 years older will give you a mature and professional air.

For women's career apparel, you might choose to wear a white button-down blouse, a long black skirt or dress pants, panty hose and black flat shoes. This may be a far cry from your usual clothing, but remember, you are trying to present your best professional image--not your personal tastes.

If you wear contacts, put your glasses on. Your hair should be tied back in a bun or tightly-secured pony tail. Make-up should be minimal, wearing no bright eye shadow or lipstick. Career apparel is all about looking smart and sophisticated, and being able to pull it off.

For men, depending on the company's reputation, a nice knit sweater with a collared shirt underneath might suffice for career apparel for the interview. If not, stick to the traditional pin-striped button-down shirt with a solid tie and khaki or black dress pants. No tennis shoes! Try loafers or polished dress shoes.

If you are interviewing for a more relaxed establishment (like a pet store, newspaper delivery or fast-food restaurant) or for a physical labor job, dressing in black tie career apparel may be a bit over the top. Instead opt for comfortable career apparel- within reason. Wearing blue jeans is an interview taboo. Go for casual tan corduroy or cotton pants and a long-sleeved knit top. Keep it simple, but make sure you appear clean-cut, well put together and polished. For women, add a pair of small gold earrings. For men, flourish with a nice wrist watch.

While career apparel is important in impressing your prospective boss, be sure to adlib extras that will make your face memorable: smile a lot, speak clearly and concisely, be knowledgeable about the expected work duties, and above all, be courteous and polite.

Espresso Machines Reviewed!

Gaggia Classic

Best value espresso machine

Pros
  • Simple controls
  • Compact
  • Durable
  • Uses ground coffee or ESE pods
Cons
  • Cheap plastic tamper and frothing wand
  • Aluminum boiler susceptible to corrosion

    Bottom line

Comparable to top-priced machines. Reviewers say the Gaggia Classic produces a nearly perfect espresso at close to half the cost of high-end machines. However, if you want nothing but the best, experts recommend the Rancilio Silvia (*Est. $700), which has a brass boiler that's less susceptible to corrosion.

    Performance

Powerful machine, flavorful espresso. Owners posting reviews at Amazon.com, CoffeeGeek.com and WholeLatteLove.com say the Gaggia Classic's performance is on par with the top-rated Rancilio Silvia for a much lower price. They say the Gaggia is good for pulling multiple shots in a row because the pressure is released instantly after a pull so the portafilter can be immediately refilled.
Editors of Food & Wine magazine call the Classic a "powerful, industrial-caliber Italian machine," and say it "delivers perfectly extracted espresso." Editors of CNNMoney.com agree, saying it's "near perfect, with a robust, rich flavor and that subtly viscous consistency that distinguishes espresso from plain ol' joe." Editors at SweetMarias.com also praise the Gaggia Classic for its powerful 17-plus bars of pressure.

    Ease of use

Easy to use, but a little slow. According to experts, the Gaggia offers the best of both worlds to users who like the convenience and consistent quality of pods but also want to learn the art of making espresso. That's because the Classic can use ground coffee or Easy Serving Espresso (ESE) pods. Users recommend it for newbies because it has simple, easy-to-use controls, although some say it takes practice to get the right grind and tamp. Several wish the Gaggia had a clear, calibrated water tank to better judge water levels.
It takes longer for the Gaggia Classic to heat up than other espresso machines, say editors at Food & Wine magazine, although SweetMarias.com clocks it at less than five minutes. Charles Passy at CNNMoney.com finds the Classic "generally easy to operate, except that it lacks the calibrated water tank of some of the other semiautomatics we tried." He notes that removing the drip tray is a bit more complicated because there's a part in the way, adding an extra step to an otherwise simple cleaning process. The 72-ounce water reservoir is removable for easy cleaning.

    Durability

Consistent daily performer. Several users who have owned their machines for years say the Gaggia Classic is very durable and holds up well to daily use. However, some owners complain about the cheap plastic frothing wand and aluminum boiler. SweetMarias.com editors say corrosion and calcification are mostly avoided thanks to the boiler parts being located outside the water reservoir.
"It's called the 'Classic' and [has] been around for decades for a reason," says one owner posting feedback to CoffeeGeek.com. "It's a great espresso machine that can suit your espresso needs for years to come."

    Appearance

Boxy but not unappealing. The Gaggia Classic has a sturdy, yet boxy, appearance. Owners don't mind its looks, but it won't win any style awards. Finished in stainless steel with black accents, its neutral design will blend in with most any décor. Moreover, editors at Food & Wine magazine say the Classic's compact size won't clutter countertops. Also for Direct Access To Brand Name Products&Services Like This Visit Our Website at   http://ebuys-onlineproducts-services.weebly.com    and Shop Smart and Save This Holiday Season!

Aliph Jawbone Era Bluetooth Headset Reviewed!

Aliph Jawbone Era

Best next-generation Bluetooth headset

Pros
  • Excellent HD-quality audio
  • Innovative motion-sensing technology
  • Extremely stylish
  • Excellent wind and noise reduction
Cons
  • No dedicated volume rocker switch
  • Uncomfortable ear piece

    Sound Quality

Military-grade noise-cancellation technology. The Jawbone Era is the only Bluetooth headset to use the latest version of a military-grade noise- and wind-canceling technology originally developed for use in military tanks. The Era uses Noise Assassin 3.0 while the Icon utilizes version 2.5. Reviewers from CNET, PC World and PCMag.com praise the Era's sound quality, especially the A2DP audio streaming. PCMag.com's analyst describes his test as the "best single-ear Bluetooth music experience I've ever had."
The volume auto adjust works well in both quiet indoor spaces and outdoors; audio is available in HD, with a speaker that's 25 percent larger than on previous Jawbone models. PCMag.com states that the call quality of the Era isn't quite as clear as with the Plantronics Voyager Pro Plus, but it's close. One drawback identified by expert feedback is that the Era's adaptive volume is sometimes too loud indoors. Reviewers from CNET and PCMag.com also dislike the single volume button, instead preferring a volume rocker switch.

    Comfort

Snug, secure fit. With eight different sets of earbuds included, the Era is designed to be comfortable for most users, no matter the size and shape of their faces. Four of the earbuds are suitable for those who prefer not to use the ear-loop. Some reviewers say it took some time to find the right ear bud and to fit it properly, but the Era headset was "snug and secure" even when walking without using the ear-loop. For those with larger ears, the ear-loop may be too small.

    Usability

Shake, tap, and talk. Called the "most advanced headset of the lot," and "a potential audio computing platform" by CNET, the Aliph Jawbone Era is still easy to use. Its most innovative technology is motion-sensing software and built-in accelerometer. Users can direct the Era to perform certain actions by tapping or shaking it: Double-tapping the surface of the headset allows you to answer, end or switch calls, and shaking it twice answers calls when you're not wearing it. The associated software is smart enough to determine whether the shaking and tapping are intentional or accidental.
Aliph's MyTalk integrated web service offers customizable audio and dial apps, and is also available for the Jawbone Icon. Users download software updates and applications from the MyTalk website, and Aliph Jawbone plans to develop apps beyond the standard ones now available. A new MyTalk feature for the Era can upload your phone's address book to the MyTalk website so your headset can read out a caller's name in a human-sounding voice. Reviewers identify one usability problem -- the Jawbone Era's lack of a dedicated volume control -- and users say the auto volume adjustment doesn't meet their needs.

    Appearance

Tradition in design. The discreet Jawbone Era shares the fashion-forward style of its predecessor, the Jawbone Icon. The Era has a three-paneled textured front and is available in four low-key colors, all with a metallic grid overlay. Its case is slightly larger than the Icon's, and curves to better fit the face and to ensure that the Voice Activity sensor touches the cheek. TechRadar.com's reviewer sums up the Jawbone Era as "the only [headset] that you can look at and believe that someone made an effort to create something nice to look at."

    The bottom line

Fashion-forward style and stellar sound quality allows the Aliph Jawbone Era to consistently appear in the top five of comparative Bluetooth headset reviews. Technology allows the handset to respond to kinetic cues (think, tapping and shaking) to perform a variety of tasks, as well as cancel noise and wind. The only drawback: the adaptive volume is sometimes too loud. Phisoderm Anti-Blemish Gel Facial Wash

Best Facial Wash for Acne-Prone Skin

Pros
  • Clears up blemishes
  • Gentle
  • Removes makeup
Cons
  • May be drying to some skin types
  • Difficult to find in stores

    Bottom Line

Some reviewers say Phisoderm Anti-Blemish Gel Facial Wash can be a bit drying, but dozens of positive user reviews at Drugstore.com, MakeupAlley.com, Amazon.com and TotalBeauty.com tip the scale in favor of Phisoderm. The formula is designed for oily and acne-prone skin. Reviewers recommend this cleanser for clearing up blemishes and leaving skin smooth and soft.

    Performance

Gentle for all skin types, even the acne prone. Although a basic, gentle cleanser such as Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash (*Est. $5.50 for 6 oz.) is suitable for all skin types, reviewers point to Phisoderm Anti-Blemish Gel Facial Wash as an excellent option for acne-prone or oily skin. It contains salicylic acid, a beta hydroxy acid known to cut through oil to cleanse pores and exfoliate skin. Some experts say salicylic acid in a cleanser is a waste because it doesn't stay in contact with the skin for long enough to be effective.
Still, dozens of users at Drugstore.com, MakeupAlley.com and Amazon.com say Phisoderm clears up their blemishes and leaves them with soft, smooth skin. Reviewers say it cleans thoroughly and effectively removes makeup with little irritation or drying effects. Paula Begoun criticizes Phisoderm's inclusion of sodium C14-16 olefin sulfonate, a cleansing agent that she says can cause irritation to all skin types. Users, for the most part, refute this notion, but the cleanser is best suited to those with oily skin.

    Feel and Smell

Users like the washing experience. Reviewers say Phisoderm has a light gel-like consistency that feels "lovely" on the skin. The scent is light and pleasant. Also for Direct Access to Brand Name Products&Services Like this one Visit our Website at  http://ebuys-onlineproducts-services.weebly.com

Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus Reviewed!

Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus

Best ultraportable laptop

Pros
  • Powerful performance
  • Quad HD+ touch screen
  • Great battery life
  • Premium look and construction
Cons
  • Pricey
  • A few dislike the keyboard

    Bottom line

With a screen that PCMag.com calls "jaw dropping," construction quality and materials that scream "high end," long battery life and enough power to tackle anything but competitive gaming, the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus has rocketed to the top of the charts in reviews. It's a little pricey, critics say, but most admit that you get every bit of the laptop that you pay for, and then some.

    Performance

A high-performance Ultrabook. Driven by a fourth-generation Intel Core i5 (Haswell) processor, the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus performs similarly to other like-priced premium Windows Ultrabooks, such as the also well-regarded Acer Aspire S7 (Est. $1,330 and up) . Outfitted with a fast 128 GB SSD, integrated Intel HD Graphics 4400 and 4 GB of RAM (all also typical of this class), the Book 9 Plus is certainly not a high-end gaming laptop, but it can handle just about anything else you throw at it with ease. The eight-hour battery life isn't class-leading in tests, but at between eight and nine hours, it well exceeds what the average Ultrabook can deliver. For those who want or need even more power, a Core i7 version (Est. $1,800) has been announced but has not started shipping at the time of this update.

    Ergonomics

The display is the difference. While the Book 9 Plus stands on equal terms with other premium Windows Ultrabooks in terms of raw performance, its screen leaves most competitors in the dust. It's a QuadHD+ touch screen with a Retina display demolishing resolution of 3,200 by 1,800 pixels. "Jaw dropping" says PCMag.com. It's also 10-point touch sensitive, so you can get the most out of Windows 8 touch features. One drawback to all the extra pixels, CNET says, is that not all that many Windows 8 apps can take advantage of them, so you'll likely be dialing things back to a more normal 1080p resolution much of the time. The hinge swivels 180 degrees, so the display can lay flat on the table, but not flip around or detach for use as a slate. We found different opinions regarding the keyboard. TrustedReviews.com calls it "a near-perfectly executed keyboard, restricted only by the size demands of the Ultrabook class." Laptop Magazine and Engadget.com complain that key travel is a little shallow, which can lead to dropped letters for some typists.

    Design

Thin, light and beautiful. The Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus should quickly become a business traveler's best friend. The touch screen adds a little bit of weight and girth to its predecessor, but not very much. Its footprint is smaller than a 13-inch Apple MacBook Air (Est. $1,050 and up) , CNET says, though at 3.06 pounds it does weigh just a skosh more than the 2.96-pound Air. Speaking of the Air, the Book 9 Plus also uses aluminum unibody construction, though here it is painted a grey-blue. Laptop Magazine calls the package "quietly gorgeous, serving up a bevy of clean lines and soft, rounded curves."

    Support and reliability

Solid construction, solid support. Samsung has developed a solid reputation among laptop users. It takes home a Readers' Choice award at PCMag.com for overall customer satisfaction. Ben Gottesman adds that Samsung has also become one of the most reliable laptop brands; a lower percentage of Samsung laptops needed repair over the year before the survey than any other brand. Should problems arise, Samsung also fares relatively well in Laptop Magazine's ratings of technical support, finishing in third place behind Sony and Apple.

    Value

A premium product at a premium price. Cutting right to the chase, the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Plus is a pricey Ultrabook. However, even experts who complain about the cost admit -- however begrudgingly -- that for what you get, the price is justified. Build quality, company reputation, computing performance and that super-high-res screen all combine to create one appealing package.
